·         Linear models direct attention away from revision

·         Produce a parody in writing / satire

·         What is impossible in speech is revision

·         Absence of revision makes revision unnecessary

Group 2: Revision Students

·         Understand as rewording activity

·         Most of the changes à Lexical changes : relating to words or vocab

·         Used inspirational words to revise

·         Think they’re doing it wrong because of books/teachers/old fashion

·         Lexical repetition vs Conceptual repetition à idea is more important than the speech on the page

Group 3: Revision Experienced Writers

·         Finding form and shape to the argument

·         Finding the argument / change the language to make it more effective

·         Never fall in love with your first and second draft à eventually you will fall in love with a draft

·         Observing patterns / What we want and what we don’t want

·         FORM / SHAPE / FRAMEWORK / DESIGN

·         Writing develops likes a seed not a line à Like roots sprouting!!

·         Exploit the meaning / interrogating the meaning

·         CLARITY
